Jay Barr

Jay Barr has more than 15 years of experience in computer systems and software development,
including over 12 years of experience with computer systems development for government contractors
ranging in size from small businesses to large multinationals. His breadth of knowledge in information
technologies ranges from embedded systems development and networking to large database design and
enterprise portal development. His broad experience has been critical in the successful design and
implementation of complex software systems for both government agencies and international corporations
in telecommunications and finance. While employed by his most recent company, Edge Technologies, Inc.,
he served as the commercial products team lead and then Chief Software Architect. His technical direction
of that organization resulted in the successful winning of both large government contracts and commercial
portal development projects. Mr. Barr earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering, a B.S. in Electrical
Engineering, and a B.A. in Physics from West Virginia University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
More recently, he earned a M.S. in Statistics from George Mason University, where he was named Outstanding
Graduate, and has continued work towards a Ph.D. in Information Technology.
He also holds an ITIL Foundations Certification.
